Trend Rankings
TVPulse's trend ranking feature shows rankings of exposure time across TV broadcasts.
Accessing trend rankings
- After logging in, click "Trends" in the left-side menu
- Or go directly to
/account/trend
Ranking types
1. Talent ranking
A ranking of exposure time for celebrities and talent.
Information shown:
- Rank
- Talent name
- Category (actor, actress, comedian, athlete, etc.)
- Exposure time (seconds)
- Rate of change from the previous period
2. Product ranking
A ranking of exposure time for products and brands.
Information shown:
- Rank
- Product/brand name
- Category (beverages, apparel, appliances, automobiles, etc.)
- Exposure time (seconds)
- Rate of change from the previous period
3. Regional ranking
A ranking of exposure time by prefecture.
Information shown:
- Rank
- Prefecture name
- Exposure time (seconds)
- Rate of change from the previous period
Setting the period
Switching between monthly and weekly
Use the tabs at the top of the screen to switch between "Monthly" and "Weekly."
- Monthly: Cumulative total for one month
- Weekly: Cumulative total for one week (Monday to Sunday)
Changing the period
Click the "Change" button to choose any period from the calendar.
- Monthly: choose a month
- Weekly: choose a week
Note: The current, in-progress month/week cannot be selected. Only the most recently completed period is available.
Sorting
Each ranking can be sorted by:
| Sort | Description |
|---|---|
| Exposure time | Highest exposure seconds first (default) |
| Growth rate | Highest rate of change from the previous period first |
Reading the change indicator
| Display | Meaning |
|---|---|
| +XX% | Increased from the previous period (shown in green) |
| -XX% | Decreased from the previous period (shown in red) |
| NEW | Newly ranked this period |
| — | No data for the previous period |
Linking to keyword search
Clicking an item in the ranking takes you to the TV search screen with that keyword, and the search runs automatically.
Settings carried over:
- Keyword: the selected talent/product/region name
- Date range: the period shown in the trend ranking
- Channels: all channels (Kanto + Kansai)
- Search type: text + audio
